Update on 1/14/26. We just had our one-year service inspection. Gus was a very knowledgeable, efficient, and pleasant technician and was quick and thorough in his examination of our system. All the specs checked out beautifully, so the system is working as designed and as we would expect given that there have been no problems with it since installation. Nice to have the added assurance through the one-year service visit. Yay, Roadrunner! ********* We engaged Roadrunner for a mini-split installation. Had a great experience from beginning to end. We had an absolutely great experience with Roadrunner. I was impressed from the start with the technology they used to assess the mini-split unit requirement per room. On the spot, their tool could calculate what range each room fell into, in terms of mini-split requirement, and their assessment was lower than the competition - so it matters, if they are right - because the unit price is different based on if you need something bigger or smaller to heat the space. So a shout out to Jason for his great job speccing the needs of our house. They fit my install in 2 days before Thanksgiving, and Jason and Mauri showed up with their A+ team (I wish I could remember their names right now, because each - for their own contribution - deserves mention!!), and finished the install ahead of schedule. It has been almost a month now that we have been enjoying the "new warmth" in our home that has always run cold. Thank you Roadrunner for a job well done, and Happy Holidays!!

Road Runner made the project worthwhile Nov 12, 2025

Last December, my wife and I purchased a home in a rural suburb of Santa Fe. The residence had a poorly working pellet stove and no air conditioning. We began looking for options to heat and cool the house for either us or the tenant. In addition to the main residence, there is a small casita that we occasionally rent out. The home is made exclusively of adobe and stone, so cutting into the walls for ducting really wasn't an option. After searching around, we decided on a mini-split system. One of their guys came out, measured the spaces, and surveyed the property. He ended up giving us an estimate that was affordable and on par with other companies. We got estimates from other companies and ended up choosing Roadrunner. They boasted about Mitsubishi systems, but what really sold us was the 12-year warranty. Some other companies sold themselves as having the best systems and other companies (Roadrunner) had a subpar product. But, if the Roadrunner HVAC system ended up not working, we would be covered for 12 years. All things considered, we went with Roadrunner. There was a fair amount of miscommunication and logistics to deal with in having the installation completed. Some of that was our fault. For example, we needed our electrical system upgraded and got a recommendation from Roadrunner. We could never reach that electrician, and we had to hire our own guy. Unfortunately, one hand did not talk to the other and our electrician didn't know exactly what the mini-split needed. The project crawled on and, like any home improvement system, we hit some snags. I will keep those to myself, but the reason I am giving 5 stars is because although things didn't go exactly as planned, our sales rep Tim Sabean really bent over backwards to help grease the wheels as much as possible to get the project done. Getting anyone to do any work in our town is difficult. It is a very rural town and logistically getting supplies out there isn't as easy as it is in Santa Fe or Alb. Our system has been installed for about two months now and it is working great. I am not worried about problems with it, but I know that even if something does stop working, I have 12 years in which it isn't my problem. That in itself is worth the price. That being said, even with the minor bumps in the road, Roadrunner made the project worthwhile and I would 100% go with them again if I had to. Strongly recommend. Thank you Tim and Roadrunner.

From my initial contacts with Michaela, Matthew, and Tim to schedule a visit to bid the job, to the convenience of scheduling the work; during the work of installing the six Mitsubishi heating/cooling mini splits in my pueblo-style home, the crew (Julian, Juan, Horacio, and Alcides) truly knocked it out of the park with their workmanship from the start to the finish of the project. They maintained cleanliness in the home while they did their installation work and communicated with me throughout the project. Their attention to detail during the 6 days they were there at my home was excellent. I was so impressed by and appreciative of the quality of all of their professionalism; that is why I give them 5 stars.

Simply outstanding whole house mini-split install Mar 7, 2025

Simply outstanding whole house mini-split install, a very refreshing change from the usual Santa Fe area contractor experience. One of only two Mitsubishi Diamond Elite level dealers in New Mexico. Steven, our main contact, was extremely knowledgeable, forthright, respectful, and always followed up. RR was the only contractor out of the seven estimates I received to perform a proper heating/cooling load analysis (the others basically SWAGGED external and internal unit sizing, including the other NM Diamond Elite level contractor, and were way off in some cases). The install crew was punctual, friendly, responsive to requests, and cleaned up after they were done each day. A slight cost premium over most of the other estimates I received, but a premium equipment/install experience and for me well worth it. Will revisit after first annual checkup by RR.
