The Importance of Ductless Maintenance

Ductless systems, just like any other system, are prone to the occasional problem that needs repair. Most homeowners have excellent reaction times to problems with their ductless units, and call for prompt repairs as soon as they notice an issue. As beneficial as prompt repairs are, though, there are other things you can do to ensure that your ductless system is in good condition. Read on to find out more about why ductless maintenance is so important.

Proactive vs. Reactive Treatment

No matter how fast you’re reacting to a problem, whether with your ductless system or anything else, you’re still giving the problem time to develop. As the old saying goes: “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” It is always better to prevent problems from forming in the first place than it is to wait for them to form before treating them. By scheduling ductless maintenance at least twice a year, you give us an opportunity to identify potential issues and solve them before they have a chance to develop. This will save you quite a bit of time and money in the long run.

Why Twice a Year?

Normally, scheduling maintenance at least once a year is enough to keep a system in pretty good shape. However, ductless systems are heat pumps, which means that they offer both heating and cooling functions. This tends to mean that they are used twice as often as a normal HVAC system, and as a result they need more maintenance than other systems. If you schedule ductless maintenance at least twice a year, you should be able to prevent the vast majority of larger problems from afflicting your system.

If you haven’t scheduled ductless system maintenance in a while, call Roadrunner Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration. We serve all of Los Alamos, NM.
