How Does a Reverse Osmosis System Work?
Reverse osmosis systems are complicated, but the basics are actually fairly simple. Water containing dust, minerals and similar contaminants is contained in one half of a tank with pure water in the other half. The two halves are separated by a semi–permeable membrane, and normally the pure water would move through the membrane to balance out the contaminated water. With reverse osmosis, pressure is applied to the contaminated side to push the contaminated water through to the other side. The particles are left, and the pure water can then be moved into your plumbing and your pipes.
As a result, your drinking water will taste like you bought it from a store, as will any food you cook with water from your sink. If you add up the cost of buying filtered water in bottles, a reserve osmosis system can save you quite a bit of money. But it goes beyond that. Purified water makes your baths and showers feel better and goes easy on your laundry loads, helping to keep your colors bright and preventing your clothes from deteriorating over time.

My wife and I had Roadrunner install a three room mini-split sytem at our house in El Dorado which required the removal of a large wall-mounted evaporative cooler and some serious exterior and interior wall repair after that. What a fabulous … More job and what a bunch of friendly, professional, and thorough people! We were beyond impressed. You may pay a little more for their expertise, but you get what you pay for. We highly recommend this knowledgeable outfit consisting of Steve, Joel, Mauri, Gus, and a few others.

My husband and I hired Roadrunner to replace our gas furnace with a heat pump system so that we could have air conditioning in the summer as well as heat in the winter. The system was installed a couple of days ago and we are so pleased … More with the quiet operation of the Mitsubishi air handler and the warmth that the heat pumps provide.
The service provided by Julian and Juan was fantastic! Though the installation took longer than expected due to a delay in the shipment of a part and an issue with getting our Nest thermostat to connect to the Mitsubishi system, I was impressed with how they kept us informed of where they were in the process and how they did their best to minimize any discomfort. They did a great job of cleaning up at the end of the day and made sure that we were happy with the placement of equipment and sealing/insulation around wall intrusions. Julian even delayed his planned time off by a couple of days so that he could ensure that everything was working properly for us. It is rare to see that level of dedication to a project and to a customer's satisfaction, and we really appreciated it!
The staff at Roadrunner was great to work with and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking to replace their heating and cooling systems! -

Probably the best experience that I've had with a contractor. Steven was very organized in detailing the quote options, incredibly responsive to questions before and after the project. The project involved an unexpected challenge … More with drilling through my walls, which I thought were adobe but were concrete block. They handled it without drama, protected the house from the dust, and cleaned it up afterwards. They took the time to show me the features of the units after installatioin. I'd probably have never realized some of the aspects of their function. I can't recomend them enough.
